Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko, a Muay Thai Kickboxer began her career in fight sport at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina continued her career by winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in 2011 as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at The Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was 3-0 after winning in the second round TKO. The following two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and returned to the ring in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in an unanimous decision. She then went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina showed off her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera using knees. Antonina took a UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC at her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via unanimous decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko lost 1-2 over the next three fights she lost to Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Recently Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
